Bad News
A few days ago my dad informed me that almost all our chickens got eaten by a weasel :(!!! The weasel got into the pen and the little door was left open that night. Our bad. Anyway only 2 are left living... Leaving us with them and the 2 other hens and one rooster that were on the other side of the barn.

Well maybe not. There is one brown chicken left. So it maybe lady dandelion chicken :P. I hope so! That was always my favorite girl. It really is a shame about the rest though :'(. Although they all come to a painful end at some point. But at least without this nasty weasel they would have gotten to live a fantastic life. :(
i didn't know your chickens personally, but i am sure they all were very nice ladies in their own way. and i suppose the rule about not naming them or getting attached still applies, but i really like the name you came up with, ("lady dandelion chicken") and am willing to delude myself into believing she was the surviving brown chicken if you are. :)
Sorry about the chickies, but as the rooster survived..... Soon you/ll have eggplant, all around your yard...
