The Vegetables of my labor
Not the greatest turn out but at least I got something! My potatoes were rolling right along but then I didn't water them enough and they turned yellow and withered, my radish were too close together and didn't really grow even after going to seed :(, carrots didn't grow either. But my peas, lettuce, onions and kale grew! haha
Now I know what to do differently next time.
Water more, and space stuff out!

it's a good little harvest. yay katie!
here's a [my last name] family secret for growing potatoes. start a compost heap and put all your veggie scraps in it, but especially potato eyes attached to runty, yucky potatoes you don't want to eat. seriously, in all my years growing up, we never actually planted potatoes, but we always ended up with more than we needed. (the rich soil from the composting seemed to be magic for them.) but you have to move the compost heap every year to keep them coming back. (actually, that's just good practice anyway.)
let us know how everything tastes!
Thanks soup :)
